Digital Data and Technology Procurement Lead
We are seeking a proactive individual with a hands-on approach and a blend of technical and contract management experience to join our team at Staffordshire Police as a Contract IT Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience working in IT and managing contracts with suppliers, as well as a solid understanding of software assets and contract management. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and contracts, conducting due diligence to assess and manage vendors and software assets, and challenging and reviewing software contracts and asset management strategies. In return, you will enjoy a competitive salary of £38,754 + package, flexible working hours, and access to a range of benefits including a pension scheme with guaranteed pension payable, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and an on-site gym.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate closely with Procurement and IT services to ensure alignment and support across all projects.
  2. Manage supplier relationships and contracts, ensuring effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  3. Conduct due diligence to assess and manage vendors and software assets, identifying risks and proposing improvements.


Requirements:
In addition to experience working in IT and managing contracts with suppliers, you must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Microsoft products and tools is desirable. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with procurement, contract managers, and technical teams, are also essential. Proven ability to conduct due diligence and identify opportunities for improvement in vendor and asset management is required.
