We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Consultant to join our Psychiatric Liaison Team within the Access Clinical Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of nursing practice within Community Mental Health services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical practice, including undertaking training and taking on the Responsible Clinician role in practice, for at least 50% of the post.
- Lead professional leadership and consultancy, including clinical supervision, to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and deliver education, training, and development programs for staff and other agencies, promoting best practices in management and treatment services.
- Conduct research and service evaluation to improve service provision and outcomes for clients.
- Exercise full responsibility and autonomy for the therapy of clients, ensuring appropriate assessment, formulation, and interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Lead service development changes, promoting awareness of the evolving healthcare agenda and its implications for nursing.
- Evaluate and improve quality of care, ensuring evidence-based practices are implemented.
- Develop and deliver training programs in higher education settings, sharing expertise with future healthcare professionals.
- First-level Registered Nurse qualification.
- Postgraduate qualification at Master's level or equivalent experience.
- Advanced level therapeutic training in modalities such as CBT, DBT, PSI, EFT, NLP, and Family Interventions.
- Experience in a nursing leadership role, with a track record of leading service development changes.
- Ability to facilitate quality improvement in practice and develop education programs.
- Experience in training and education/lecturing within higher education settings.
