Job Title: Nurse Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Consultant to join our team at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust. As a senior clinician, you will play a key role in providing expert clinical practice, professional leadership, and consultancy to our mental health services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have significant clinical experience and a proven track record of leadership, change management, and innovation. You will be responsible for providing expert clinical nursing care, leading service developments, education, and training, as well as professional leadership and consultancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical practice within the service, including undertaking training and taking on the Responsible Clinician role in practice.
  • Lead professional leadership and consultancy, including clinical supervision.
  • Develop and deliver education, training, and development programs for staff and other agencies.
  • Contribute to research and development into practice, including service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • First level Registered Nurse.
  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualification at Masters level or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience of working within areas relevant to designated team.
  • Experience of working therapeutically with adults of all ages.
  • Substantial experience in a nursing leadership role.
  • Ability to work across professional and organisational boundaries internally and externally.
