Job Summary

The Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Consultant to join our team. As a senior clinician, you will provide expert clinical practice, professional leadership, and consultancy to our community mental health services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical practice, including training and taking on the Responsible Clinician role in practice, for at least 50% of the post.
  • Lead in extending boundaries and creating frameworks for the enhancement of nursing within the specialty.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction for the development of nursing practice within Community Mental Health services.
  • Provide professional leadership and consultancy, including clinical supervision.
  • Develop and deliver education, training, and development programs for staff and other agencies.
  • Conduct research and evaluation into various aspects of service provision and service evaluation.

Person Specification
  • First level Registered Nurse.
  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualification at Masters level or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of experience in therapeutic interventions relevant to the specialty, including nurse prescribing, CBT, DBT, PSI, EFT, NLP, and Family Interventions.
