Job Description

CHEP is a global leader in the supply chain and logistics industry, and we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yard and Service Manager to join our team. As a Yard and Service Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing yard and service labor, material, and equipment resources to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Security: Ensure a safe and secure work environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular risk assessments, and providing training to employees.
  • Stock Management: Manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure accurate reporting to meet customer requirements.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze reports to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve performance.
  • Labour Management: Optimize labor resources, minimize overtime, and ensure attendance is optimized.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing operations environment.
  • English and Maths qualifications.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • IOSH qualification.
  • FLT license desirable.
  • Six-Sigma Green/Black Belt certification desirable.
Preferred Education:

Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Level of Work Experience:

3-5 years.
