Support Mentor Job
We are seeking an experienced support mentor to join our team in a thriving and aspirational Leicestershire-based alternate provision. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with special educational needs.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with experience working with challenging behavior and emotional disorders. They will be able to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with SEND, utilizing NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Education and experience working with challenging behavior and emotional disorders.
  • Work one-on-one with students, applying expertise gained from previous experience as a learning support assistant.
  • Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.

Estimated Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 per annum

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Education
  • Experience working with Challenging Behaviour and Emotional Behavioural Disorders
  • Previous experience working as a learning support assistant
  • Driving License (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Patience and compassion
