About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Older Adult Psychology Service at Powys Teaching Health Board. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological care to older adults with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments and interventions under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.
  • Develop and implement systemic psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to older adults.
  • Conduct research and audit projects to inform service development and improvement.
  • Provide training and education to staff and service users on psychological topics.
Requirements
  • Upper Second or First-Class Honours degree in Psychology.
  • Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Previous experience working with older adults with complex mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of clinical use of neuropsychological assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
