Duties- Manage cash flows and budgets, ensuring compliance with company policies and processes.
- Establish project budgets, allocating cost codes for accurate cost reporting.
- Collaborate with departments to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely project delivery, providing cost advice as needed.
- Review main contract and subcontract terms, including stepping down conditions.
- Administer main contracts and subcontracts, compiling contractual correspondence for delays and associated loss and expense.
- Liaise with the Employer's team to progress commercial aspects of the project.
- Manage staff resources to ensure effective project cost management.
- Conduct delay analysis, preparing narratives and loss and expense to support claim submissions.
- Ensure correct and timely application of the variation/compensation event mechanism for commercial protection.
- Liaise with procurement to set and agree project allowances.
- Attend progress/commercial meetings, representing the company in a commercial capacity.
- Experience working with a general building contractor on similar projects.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Good understanding of surveying and contractual procedures.
- Understanding of financial implications of build methods and sequences.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry.
- Good knowledge of commercial and financial management systems and controls.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a growing business.
- Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid and varied commercial/contractual knowledge.
