**Job Title:** Experienced Teaching Assistant

**Location:** Birmingham, West Midlands

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team at a mainstream secondary school in the Hall Green area of Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a teaching assistant or a learning support assistant within a UK school.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Provide specialist support for students on a 1:1 and small group basis
  2. Work closely with students with special educational needs
  3. Follow guidance of the main class teacher but also show initiative and independence
  4. Uphold school policies and procedures at all times
  5. Ensure safeguarding is at the centre of everything you do

**Person Specification:**

  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Previous experience in a teaching assistant role
  • Experience working with children in an educational/care setting
  • Previous experience/knowledge of special educational needs (this includes personal experience, i.e. family members)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

**Salary:** £85-100 per day (dependent upon experience)

This is a full-time position, and we offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
