Environmental and Sustainability Manager

Workdry International is seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Manager to join our team in Middlesbrough. As a key member of our SHEQ team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, and promoting sustainability initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and review environmental management systems to minimize the organization's impact on the environment.
  2. Coordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy initiatives.
  3. Lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  4. Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  5. Liaise with external stakeholders, including local authorities, public bodies, and competent bodies.
  6. Audit and analyze environmental performance, providing regular reports to internal and external clients.
Requirements:
  1. Demonstrable experience in environmental management, preferably in a business setting.
  2. Ability to promote and raise awareness of environmental activities, influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  4. Commercial awareness and understanding of our responsibilities to major framework partners.
  5. Able to set organizational sustainability targets, develop plans, and oversee delivery through effective project management.
