Join Our Team as an Environmental Sustainability Manager

Workdry International is a leading provider of water pumps and industrial wastewater treatment products and services. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our friendly SHEQ team based in Middlesbrough.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental management systems to minimize the organization's impact on the environment. This will involve coordinating pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and review environmental management systems to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and regulations.
  2. Lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's sustainability goals.
  3. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into business decisions.
  4. Monitor and report on environmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Demonstrable experience of managing an environmental function within a business environment.
  2. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to compile accurate statistics and data.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  4. A Diploma in environmental management or a related field would be advantageous.
