Consultant Cardiologist Role

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Consultant Cardiologist to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the cardiac department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients and contributing to the development of the acute and general cardiology service.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop the coronary intervention service within the cardiac catheter lab, delivering PCI and diagnostic angiography, as well as new services such as coronary sinus reducers and microvascular testing.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Supervising and training junior medical staff, specialist nurses, and research nurses
  • Providing expert care to patients on the cardiology in-patient beds
  • Participating in service development and business planning
  • Collaborating with other Consultants in the department to achieve shared goals
