Theatre Matron Leader

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Theatre Matron to lead the daily operations and support the leadership of our vast theatres nursing workforce. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have comprehensive experience of working in theatres at band 7 level, with a proven track record of innovation in practice, quality improvement, and governance. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to positively influence others.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure high standards of patient care at all times, challenging and ensuring others challenge poor practice, in accordance with the NMC Professional Code of Conduct.
- In collaboration with senior members of the Divisional team, provide assurance that the standards set out in the relevant Nursing & Midwifery strategy and direction of Nursing & Midwifery for the Trust are delivered at ward level.
- Ensure local plans support all clinical quality external accreditation, for example Care Quality Commission (CQC) essential standards, Safety Thermometer, Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN), Quality Accounts, NHS Litigation Authority.
