Job Summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Haematology Specialist Nurse to join our team in The Milverton Suite, a Haematology & Oncology Day Unit.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in haematological cancers and solid tumours, including lymphoma, myeloma, breast, gynaecological, Upper GI, Colorectal and prostate tumours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and embody the values of Nuffield Health
  • Utilize clinical expertise and a patient-centric approach to deliver exceptional care
  • Exercise autonomy to make informed decisions that ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Provide holistic care to patients, including administering systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments
  • Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments and complete UKONS triage and assessments
  • Respond to acute oncological and haematological emergencies
  • Collaborate with practitioners from other departments to ensure seamless care
  • Educate patients on the management of their care
  • Support outpatient consultant clinics, providing opportunities for skill development and knowledge enhancement
Requirements
  • NMC registered and a qualified nurse
  • UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience
  • Proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
  • Competent in UKONS triage
Desirable Qualifications
  • A qualification in SACT
  • Advanced communication training
