About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Haematology and Oncology Day Unit at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and be an ambassador for Nuffield Health, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in patient care and service delivery.
  • Use clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's needs, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality holistic care to our patients, administering systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments as required.
  • Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments, completing UKONS triage and assessments to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies, working effectively with the multidisciplinary team to respond to critical situations.
  • Interact with practitioners from other departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Educate patients in the management of their care, providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to take control of their health and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Be NMC registered and be a qualified nurse with a minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience.
  • Have a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent) and be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices.
  • Be competent in UKONS triage and have a strong understanding of holistic care principles.
