Job Title: Children's Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Support Worker to join our team in Lydney, Gloucestershire. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age and needs.
  • Maintain a homely and friendly culture within the residential homes.
  • Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and supportive manner.
  • Protect young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Provide support and promote independence and well-being for the young people in our care.
  • Maintain a safe environment for young people and ensure their safety at all times.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements:

  • Completed Level 3 QCF in Children & Young People (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in a healthcare or social care setting (desirable but not essential).
  • A full driver's licence is required, as you will be responsible for transporting young people at times.
  • You must be over 21 years old.
  • You must be able to commute to Lydney, Gloucestershire.
