Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Belmont Recruitment, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position at a competitive rate of £223,000 per year.

We are looking for a highly skilled Equipment Lead for the role based in KT1 area (90% remote).

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Enable evidence-based decision making for equipment provision and work jointly with acute hospital colleagues, as well as a range of community health and social care professionals prescribing community equipment.
  2. Work in partnership with Adult Social Care commissioning leads, contract leads, nursing leads, OT leads, and providers to support the governance, training, and familiarisation of equipment, ensuring robust standards of practice within the prescription process.
  3. Provide advice to clinical and non-clinical prescribers in relation to equipment and minor adaptation provision, including being available for telephone discussions and attending operational team meetings (sharing good practice, audit outcomes, etc.).
  4. Coordinate and chair operational meetings with partners of the contract across both health and social care to achieve a formal process for open and continuous dialogue with prescribers in line with operational arrangements.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist and registration with Health and Social Care Professional Council (HSCPC).
  • Knowledge and practice of project management coordination and workload management.
  • Excellent working knowledge of disability equipment.
