Overview
A Resourcing Group client, a leading heavy plant manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join their team in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance planning and scheduling, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary & Benefits

Job Description
The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for scheduling maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment availability and minimize downtime. This will involve analyzing work orders, identifying resource requirements, and coordinating with production and maintenance teams to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maintenance management systems, CMMS experience, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide coaching and guidance to colleagues as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge and fault-finding skills, with the ability to diagnose complex problems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- CMMS experience, preferably with Shire, Agility, Maximo, or similar systems
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Coaching and advisory skills, with the ability to provide guidance to colleagues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Location
The role will be based in the UK, with a commutable location from Grimsby, Barton-upon-Humber, Brigg, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Immingham, Market Rasen, Gainsborough, and surrounding areas.
