Holland & Knight LLP is a dynamic and fast-paced law firm seeking an Electronic Billing Specialist to contribute to its growth and success.

This exciting opportunity offers the flexibility to work from home with periodic in-office presence required for monthly team meetings, events, and training opportunities. The position can be based in our operation center in Brandon, FL (Tampa Bay area) or one of our practice offices in Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Houston, Nashville, Orlando, Philadelphia, Stamford, Tampa, Tysons, or Washington, D.C.

The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting ebilled invoices via various electronic billing systems for client remittance and owning the ebilled invoices until they have been successfully approved for payment. Additionally, they will work with the eBilling Matter Maintenance team on new client implementations and manage their assigned clients with expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving finalized invoices delivered by the Billing Specialists to be processed electronically.
  • Processing invoices through eBillingHub and uploading LEDES files on ebilling vendor sites as needed.
  • Owning the full scope of electronic billing for assigned clients, beginning with a finalized invoice and ending with a successful approval for payment, processing appeals as necessary on short-paid invoices.
  • Following up on ebilled invoices to ensure status has not changed on ebilling vendor sites.
  • Managing rejected invoices for assigned clients, liaising with the Billing Specialist to resolve promptly.
  • Communicating all pertinent ebilling changes to appropriate Billing Specialist and Client Accounts Representative.
  • Managing and overseeing client implementations for a smooth transition from paper invoices to electronic billing.
  • Performing transactions, coordinating data, projects, or accounts of a highly specialized, advanced, or sensitive nature.
  • Building rapport to establish and maintain solid client relationships.
  • Providing general administrative assistance and support to assigned managers.
  • Fulfilling information requests and other inquiries from field personnel and customers.

Qualifications include:

  • Strong technical skills including Internet Explorer, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in order to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Legal billing/ebilling experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Aderant billing software and/or eBillingHub is also a plus.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous paid time off, eleven paid holidays per year, time off for bereavement or jury duty, paid leave for new parents, and more.
