Part Time Female Support Worker Required

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate support worker to join our team in providing care and support to a 28-year-old young lady with an acquired brain injury and complex care needs.

The client is wheelchair dependant and non-verbal, and requires support with personal care, therapy exercises, and activities. The role involves working with the client's family and therapy team to set up a structured timetable of activities, including hydrotherapy, gardening, music therapy, and arts and crafts in the home environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in complex care and be sensitive to the client's needs and those of her family. The role requires peg feeding and administering medication, and the support worker will be expected to complete daily notes and keep the client's living areas clean and tidy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to the client
  • Assist with therapy exercises and activities
  • Accompany the client to appointments as requested
  • Work with the client's family and therapy team to set up a structured timetable of activities
  • Complete daily notes and maintain the client's living areas

Requirements:

  • Experience in complex care
  • Sensitivity to the client's needs and those of her family
  • Ability to administer medication and peg feed
  • Full driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS check

Working Hours:

32 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 10am-6pm, with other days available by prior arrangement.

Rate of Pay:

£16.00 per hour weekday hours, £17.50 per hour weekend hours.

This is a non-smoking/vaping work environment. Bush & Co are acting as agents for our client.
