Part Time Female Support Worker Required

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic support worker to join our team in providing care and support to a 28-year-old young lady with an acquired brain injury and complex care needs.

The client is wheelchair dependant and non-verbal, and the support worker will be responsible for providing personal care, therapy exercises, and activities, as well as accompanying the client to appointments as requested.

The client will be leaving college, and the support worker will work with the family and therapy team to set up a structured timetable of activities, including hydrotherapy, gardening, music therapy, and arts and crafts in the home environment.

The role requires sensitivity to the client's needs and those of her family, and past experience in complex needs is required, along with peg feeding and administering medication.

The support worker will also be responsible for completing daily notes and keeping the client's living areas clean and tidy.

Hours of work:

32 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 10.00am – 6.00pm, with other days possible by prior arrangement.

Rate of pay:

£16.00 per hour for weekday hours and £17.50 per hour for weekend hours.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and be willing to drive the client's vehicle.

This is a non-smoking/vaping work environment, and an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required prior to employment commencing.
