About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As a Café Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our café.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality food and beverages to meet our standards and policies.
  • Perform general kitchen and café duties, including serving, washing up, setting up, and clearing down.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness of the centre, including the kitchen area, café, retail, toilets, and grounds.
  • Deliver exceptional customer care to customers, interacting with visitors, and being cheerful, approachable, and visible while on duty.
  • Work closely with the team to consistently achieve high standards and identify ways to improve service delivery.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of providing customer service in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the catering sector.
  • Barista training is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of cash handling and the ability to operate a PC-based till would be preferred, however training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adaptable and organized in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay up to date with Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Food regulations.
