About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Dermatologist to join our rapidly growing dermatology team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a broad spectrum of outpatient activity, including general adult and paediatric dermatology, and skin cancer services.
  • Work closely with our Nurse Specialist team to provide and monitor systemic therapies, including biological therapies and isotretinoin, and skin cancer diagnosis, support, and follow-up.
  • Participate in the monthly clinical governance meetings to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Develop a sub-specialty interest and establish academic links with neighboring university hospitals.
  • Contribute to the development of the clinical service and participate in research opportunities.
Person Specification
  • MRCP or completed dermatology training with CCT.
  • 4 years as a Dermatology trainee.
  • Strong commitment to developing the clinical service.
  • GCP training, Master's degree, or research training (desirable).
