Job Title: Consultant Dermatologist

Medical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Dermatologist to join our team on a locum basis. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will provide expert dermatological care to patients, managing outpatient clinics, conducting diagnostic procedures, and delivering both acute and chronic dermatology treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outpatient dermatology clinics, reviewing new and follow-up patients, and developing and implementing treatment plans to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide expert advice for dermatology cases referred from other specialties and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and care planning.
  • Supervise and support junior doctors, specialty registrars, and other healthcare professionals in the dermatology department, delivering educational sessions for medical students and healthcare professionals, and providing guidance on dermatology case management to colleagues.
  • Participate in the dermatology on-call rota if required, providing emergency dermatological consultations, and manage urgent dermatology cases to ensure timely patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Requirements:
  • Specialist registration or Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in dermatology.
  • Fellowship or membership of a recognized dermatology society or college is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a consultant dermatologist or senior specialist in dermatology.
  • Excellent clinical skills with a strong knowledge of dermatology, proficiency in using electronic medical records and relevant healthcare technology, and flexibility and adaptability to cover various clinics and duties on a locum basis.
