Job Description

Mencap is seeking a passionate and dedicated Compassionate Care Professional to join our team in Darlington. As a Compassionate Care Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you will play a vital role in their life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist service users with daily activities such as personal care and mobility
  • Provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships with service users
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is £20,000 - £22,000 per annum, dependent on experience. This includes an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45 for sleep-in shifts.
