We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and fostering ambition in young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing Emotional Support: Offer a listening ear and provide guidance during challenging times.
  • Fostering Ambition: Assist young people in achieving their goals and maximising their potential.
  • Supporting Educational Pursuits: Offer support in the educational pursuits of young individuals.
  • Maintaining Accurate Records: Prepare written reports for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the line manager.
  • Empowering Young People: Encourage young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future.
  • Acting as an Advocate: Represent young people in meetings where they are the subject of discussion.
  • Community Engagement: Encourage community engagement, attend off-site activities, and expand their personal social networks.
  • Meeting Needs: Meet the needs of children and young people, organising social activities and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning shopping etc.).
Requirements
  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
  • Full UK driving license preferable
  • No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people
  • Attendance at a 2-week training program required
  • Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
