The Residential Property Legal Secretary will provide support to the Fee Earners within the Residential Property department at Holmes & Hills. This role is designed to enable the team to operate at optimum efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to Fee Earners, including typing documents, letters, and bills.
  • Administer electronic filing, including daily filing and the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
  • Prepare mail and enclosures for despatch.
  • Support other secretaries, legal assistants, and paralegals as required.
  • Provide guidance to junior and temporary secretaries.
  • Attend clients and provide support in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Collaborate with other secretaries across the team using technology.
  • Undertake specific training and have a responsibility towards self-development.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all documentation and information.
  • Update electronic checklists within the case management system.

Requirements:

  • Trained in secretarial practice.
  • Fast and accurate word-processing and audio-typing skills.
  • Previous experience as a legal secretary or in an alternative professional office.
