Field Service Technician

The role of Field Service Representative at Mane Contract Services involves supporting on-site customer equipment failure inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repairs, and warranty work. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing military vehicles and equipment, both on-site and in the field, in compliance with company technical service and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnostics and Maintenance: Conduct thorough diagnostics and maintenance of military vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Independent Deployment: Deploy independently to customer sites, with responsibility for order processing and contractual documentation.
- Global Deployment: Be prepared for potential deployment worldwide, supporting our customers across the globe.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, particularly those involving safety at work and environmental protection.
- Safe and Compliant Work Sites: Prepare safe and compliant work sites, tools, and materials to ensure a secure working environment.
- Facility Management: Independently manage a facility in collaboration with a technical team, ensuring seamless operations.
- Training and Development: Deliver training tasks, both internally and externally with the customer community, to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Customer Care: Provide exceptional customer care and satisfaction, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete all documentation, including jobsheets and work orders, and generate work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and performance specifications.
- Team Development: Train and instruct new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and knowledge transfer.
- C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair Level 3: Hold a C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Military Vehicle Experience: Possess military vehicle technical/maintenance experience, preferably with a recognized certification.
- Test Authorisation: Hold test authorisation for technical tests specified by statutory authorities.
- Driving Licence: Possess a driving licence Class C (HGV2) minimum.
- Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Have experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance, and repair, ideally in the field of military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, or specialist vehicle manufacture.
- Technical Documentation: Be skilled in completing relevant technical documentation and paperwork as dictated by industry.
- Diagnostic Equipment: Possess skill and experience in operating automotive diagnostic equipment, diagnostic fault finding, and troubleshooting.
- Language Skills: Have knowledge of the English language, written and spoken, and basic knowledge of German language (desirable).
- Computer Skills: Possess good PC skills, particularly with common MS Office applications, and recent exposure to electronic fleet management systems (desirable).
