Job Overview:

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Paediatric CNS to join our team in providing expert care to children with home mechanical ventilation needs. As a CNS, you will play a significant leadership role in supporting the highest level of quality expert practice and support for children and young people with home mechanical ventilation (HMV) needs and their families.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Take a significant leadership role in supporting the highest level of quality expert practice and support for children and young people with home mechanical ventilation (HMV) needs and their families.
  • Work collaboratively and autonomously, offering authoritative, supplementary, and complementary practical support to the children and families within the caseload.
  • Establish effective transitional and home care packages, working with complex multidisciplinary and multiagency teams.
  • Lead and manage their own respiratory patient cohort, working effectively alongside the MDT.

Requirements:

  • Registered Paediatric Nurse.
  • Intravenous accreditation.
  • Mentorship course or equivalent.
  • Specialist Clinical Course in Respiratory.
