As a Specialist Paediatric Oncology CNS, you will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking unit that provides a service to a diverse and multi-cultural area of East London. You will work closely with our team of specialist paediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Deliver enhanced level A treatment to children with cancer
* Admit and care for children who are neutropenic
* Administer regular chemotherapy to patients
* Support specialist paediatricians and liaise with tertiary services
* Provide supportive care to children and their families

We are a POSCU service at Rainbow Centre for Children and Young People, based at Newham University Hospital. Our team is committed to providing excellent patient care and working together to achieve our goals. We value our differences and strive to create an inclusive working environment.

Job Requirements

* RSCN/RN Child with current registration
* Educated to degree level or working towards it
* Possession of a Nurse Mentorship qualification or prepared to undertake the course
* Evidence of continued professional development in Paediatric Oncology
* Intravenous bolus chemotherapy accreditation
* Evidence of Children's Cancer Network and RCN competence based type 2 'Full' chemotherapy administration and oncology skills
