About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a valued member of our team, you will work in mainstream schools providing assessment and interventions to children who have speech, language and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and interventions to children with speech, language and communication needs
  • Work in mainstream schools to support children's communication development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify communication needs and develop strategies to support communication development
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support communication development

Person Specification

Essential

  • SLT degree or recognised equivalent
  • Registered member of RCSLT
  • Registered member of HCPC

Desirable

  • Experience working with children with speech, language and communication needs
  • Knowledge of communication disorders and their impact on individuals and families
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Desirable

  • Experience working with children with complex communication needs
  • Knowledge of communication strategies and techniques
