About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Children's Community team at Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing assessment and interventions to children with speech, language, and communication needs in mainstream schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in mainstream schools to assess and provide interventions to children with speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based interventions in speech and language therapy.
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a recognized equivalent.
  • Registration with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
