About the PositionWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Priory Hospital Cardiff. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
About Our UnitPriory Hospital Cardiff is a leading provider of mental health services, offering a range of specialist treatments and therapies. Our unit is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including secure gardens, a gym, patient practice kitchens, sensory areas, and dedicated support service areas.
Your Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote occupational skills and mental wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to reduce restrictive interventions and promote positive behavior
- Contribute to department meetings and supervision, ensuring effective communication and team working
- Maintain accurate clinical records and provide regular updates on patient progress
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC
- At least 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably with clients with mental health diagnoses or challenging behaviors
- Ability to work creatively and think outside the box to find new ways to engage and motivate clients
We offer a competitive salary of £35,392.5 per annum, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth. You will also receive comprehensive training and support to enhance your skills and knowledge in Sensory Integration Training.
