L1 Application Support Role

At AutoRek, we're seeking a skilled L1 Application Support Engineer to join our growing Application Support team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial data automation platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line application support, ensuring all requests are logged, categorized, and triaged to meet SLAs.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues, escalating to 2nd line support engineers as needed.
  • Ensure the ticketing system is up-to-date and accurate at all times.
  • Participate in proactive maintenance and health check activities across our customer base.
  • Support the deployment of release and configuration changes following our Change Management procedures.

Shift Pattern:

You'll be rotated through one of three shifts (dayshift, nightshift, backshift) to ensure 24x7 coverage.

Requirements

Required:

  • Previous experience as an L1 support engineer or relevant technical experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid experience in logging and triaging support tickets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of SLA tracking.
  • Experience in using and updating service desk software.
Desirable:
  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent in an IT-related subject.
