- Create and implement a culture of safety and well-being within your team.
- Analyze and implement changes to maintain high-quality and productivity levels.
- Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and enhance customer service within your area of responsibility.
- Monitor shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices.
A Day in the Life:
As an Area Manager, you'll work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfillment Centers, focusing on owning and driving a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards.
You'll also oversee process improvements within your area, drive implementation, and serve as a role model and mentor to new managers.
About the Team:
Our Customer Fulfillment team is the backbone of Amazon's operations, handling over 1.5 million orders daily.
We're a dynamic team that's always looking for ways to improve and innovate, using emerging technology to offer a wider range of products delivered quickly and affordably.
We're based in Fulfillment Centers, which are the heart of Amazon's fast-paced Operations network.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant experience in people management.
- Relevant experience of communicating with stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
- Relevant experience in using data to influence business decisions.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
- AR Experience Recommended.
- Experience working in another logistics environment.
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite in a professional environment.
