Accounts Assistant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team in Stroud. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, supplier invoices, and prepaid invoices.

  • Purchase Orders and Supplier Invoices: Match up signed delivery notes and ensure accurate payment.
  • Prepaid Invoices/Proforma Invoice Process: Manage and process prepaid invoices and proforma invoices.
  • Goods Received Not Invoiced Process: Identify and resolve discrepancies in goods received but not invoiced.
  • Daily Bank Transactions: Capture and record daily bank transactions for the purchase ledger.
  • Supplier Payments: Submit and pay monthly supplier payment runs with reconciliation packs.
  • Weekly Proformas and Ad Hoc Suppliers: Pay weekly proformas and ad hoc suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Accounts Experience: A strong background in accounting and financial management.
  • Purchase Orders and Supplier Invoices: Strong knowledge of purchase orders and supplier invoices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Manufacturing Background: A manufacturing background is desirable but not essential.
