Finance Supervisor

Job Summary

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading Manufacturing Group to recruit a dynamic Finance Supervisor. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role involves supporting day-to-day and monthly accounting processes, supervising a Finance Assistant, and contributing to the team's success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly Management Accounts
2. Maintain fixed asset registers
3. Post accounting journals
4. Process VAT returns
5. Reconcile bank statements
6. Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
7. Support import/export documentation processes
8. Assist with audit preparation and year-end schedules
9. Manage sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers
10. Issue and update stock schedules
11. Raise purchase orders
12. Implement credit control processes
13. Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis for the CFO

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

1. Experience in a similar position, ideally AAT qualified or studying CIMA/ACCA
2. Strong communication skills to build internal and external relationships
3. Organisational skills and reliability
4. Attention to detail
5. Ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads
6. Experience with financial systems and good MS Excel skills
7. Experience within the manufacturing sector and supervising team members (advantageous)

What We Offer

This Finance Supervisor role offers a salary between £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience, based in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
