About the Role:

As a Prisoner Escort Officer at Serco Group, you will be part of a team responsible for providing safe and secure court transportation and custody services. Your primary duties will include collecting detainees from prisons or police stations and transporting them safely and securely to courts, ensuring the care of their physical and mental wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells
* Search property or people
* Ensure food and drink is available
* Complete paperwork and data entry for the day

Requirements:

* Hold a current driver's license
* C1 License (valid CPC card desirable) / D License (with valid CPC card & Tacho Graph desirable)
* Reasonably fit and good written and verbal communications skills

What We Offer:

* Competitive salary of £28,715 (40hrs pw)
* Salary during 5 1⁄2 weeks training is £25,716

Our Assessment Process:

Our recruitment process includes a briefing call to assess eligibility, a competency-based virtual interview, a short role-play, and a written exercise. All roles are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and all offers of employment are subject to Ministry of Justice Enhanced Level 2 checks with Enhanced DBS (Adult & Child Barring) and satisfactory employment references.
