About the Role

As a Prisoner Escort Officer at Serco Plc, you will be part of a team providing safe and secure court transportation and custody services. Your primary responsibility will be to collect detainees from prisons or police stations and transport them safely and securely to courts, ensuring the care of their physical and mental wellbeing throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells
  • Search property or people as required
  • Ensure food and drink are available for detainees
  • Complete paperwork and data entry for the day
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a current driver's license, a C1 License (valid CPC card desirable), or a D License (with valid CPC card and Tacho Graph desirable). You must also be reasonably fit and possess good written and verbal communication skills. Our team would suit individuals with an interest in criminology or psychology.
