Opportunity Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Walsall. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and performing imaging procedures. As a Band 7 Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing and monitoring imaging procedures, supervising other technologists and support staff, conducting quality control on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals, maintaining accurate records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in continuing education. You will also be expected to respond to emergencies and provide lifesaving first aid when necessary. Additionally, you may be required to lead and supervise junior staff when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must possess a relevant degree in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography, hold HCPC registration as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist, and have a minimum of 1-2 years post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine (NHS or private setting). You should also be proficient with gamma cameras, PET-CT scanners, and radiopharmaceuticals, have excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams, and demonstrate high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
