Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team as a Band 7 specialist in locum capacity. This role requires the successful candidate to provide compassionate patient care, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, conduct imaging procedures, and adhere to strict radiation safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care and outcomes
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals accurately and efficiently
- Conduct and monitor imaging procedures using gamma cameras, PET-CT scanners, and other equipment
- Supervise junior staff and lead by example
- Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Nuclear Medicine or related field
- HCPC registration as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Minimum 1-2 years post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine (NHS or private setting)
- Proficient in using gamma cameras, PET-CT scanners, and radiopharmaceuticals
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance
