Nuclear Medicine Technologist Opportunity

Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Band 7 Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional patient care, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and perform imaging procedures with precision.
Salary:
The estimated annual salary for this role is £62,400 - £78,150, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Job:
In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing and monitoring imaging procedures, and adhering to strict radiation safety protocols. You will also supervise other technologists and support staff, conduct quality control on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals, maintain accurate records, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in continuing education to stay updated with advancements in the field. Your strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance will be invaluable in ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to safety standards.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess a relevant degree in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography, hold HCPC registration as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist, and have a minimum of 1-2 years post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine (NHS or private setting). You should also be proficient with gamma cameras, PET-CT scanners, and radiopharmaceuticals, have excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams, and demonstrate high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Additionally, you may be required to lead and supervise junior staff when necessary.
