About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supervising Social Worker to join our team at Polaris Community, a leading provider of children's services. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our foster parents and young people in the Watford and Milton Keynes area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
  • Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents to ensure they provide a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Provide regular supervision to foster parents and work in partnership with them to identify needs and develop plans.
  • Ensure compliance with key documentation and attend meetings with commissioning teams.
  • Promote participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and access to resources and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to travel extensively and confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
  • Full driving licence.
