Job Title: Supervising Social Worker - Fostering Expert

About the Role: Foster Care Associates (FCA) is seeking a highly skilled Supervising Social Worker to join our team in the Thames Valley area. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care
* Monitor the continued suitability and competence of foster parents
* Ensure foster parents fully understand the fostering task and standards expected
* Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents
* Work in partnership with foster families to identify needs and provide support
* Ensure compliance with key documentation
* Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams
* Promote participation of children and young people in the development of the agency
* Participate in an 'out of hours' support service

Requirements:

* Social Work qualification
* Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent
* Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing
* Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively
* Full driving licence
