Job Summary

NP Aerospace Limited is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Specialist to ensure full compliance with all relevant import and export regulations impacting our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic advice to support business planning and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Prepare and process applications, expediting approvals and maintaining accurate records.
  3. Monitor compliance deadlines and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure business adherence to regulatory requirements.
  5. Provide training to key personnel on import and export controls, including ITAR.
  6. Responsible for ensuring business compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  7. Identify and advise on changes to legislation or government policy that may impact our business.
  8. Support and guide the Business Development, R&D, and Commercial teams on trade compliance matters.
  9. Prepare accurate and compliant import/export paperwork and maintain complete records for audit and future reference purposes.
  10. Liaise with nominated freight forwarders to organize all movements required by the business.
  11. Liaise with internal and external customers/agencies to ensure trade compliance and support business objectives.
  12. Determine the classification of goods, software, and technology to be exported.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in export compliance roles.
  2. Awareness and understanding of business agreements/contracts.
  3. All-round commercial awareness and numeracy.
  4. Computer literate with good knowledge of all core Microsoft Office products.
  5. Ability to analyze complex business situations and advise on the impact of export controls.
