Business Development Manager

Are you an experienced Account Manager looking for a new challenge? CMR Recruitment is working with a cleaning supplies company to find a talented individual to join their team as a Business Development Manager.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing new business within current key accounts. This role requires a strong business development and customer support skills with a proven track record in managing clients and winning business.
The key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:
- Meet or exceed agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals, profit margins and activity targets.
- Manage and retain a portfolio of existing customers.
- Visit accounts on a scheduled basis; create and deliver account development plans.
- Research new business opportunities, identify likely sales points, develop strategic plans and sales strategies, and undertake presentations to and negotiate with prospective customers.
- Prepare sales proposals and formally present them to prospects and customers.
Key skills and attributes required for this role include:
- Experience with the sale of consumable items to B2B end users.
- Strong business development and customer support skills with a proven track record in managing clients and winning business.
- Self-driven, self-motivated and excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Proficient IT Skills including Microsoft Office and CRM Systems.
