Job Title: CMDB/SACM IT Service Management Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Service Management Consultant with expertise in CMDB and SACM alignment to join our team at Computappoint Limited.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the capture of key aspects of the current CMDB database and CMDB/SACM tooling.
  • Understand the functionalities of the ITSM CMDB solution within ServiceNow and provide recommendations on platform capabilities and structures.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal teams on CMDB and SACM best practices.
  • Ensure the CI Management process is robust, allowing the CMDB to remain current and accurate.
  • Decommission legacy Remedy CMDB and implement efficient IT Asset Management Lifecycle and Configuration Management processes.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in IT Asset Management Lifecycle and Configuration Management processes.
  • Awareness of technologies and good practices that support CMDB solutions, integrations, and auto-discovery tooling.
  • Strong planning and analytical skills to evaluate critical information and reconcile conflicts.
  • Ability to work with new technologies and acquire new skills, such as ServiceNow Platform, Agile Development, and SCCM.
  • Experience in normalizing data, investigating CMDB schema, and comparing mandatory CI fields.
  • Identify opportunities to remove redundant infrastructure, virtualize, consolidate, or decommission assets.
  • Recommend remediations to align with the customer-defined target SOO model.

Role Details:

  • Permanent position.
  • Hybrid: 2-3 days on-site (London or Portsmouth).
  • Up to £75,000 plus bonus.
