Cranleigh Scientific is a growing start-up company offering an exciting opportunity for an Analytical Development Scientist to contribute to innovative research and development. With state-of-the-art facilities and a robust pipeline of upcoming projects, this role offers the chance to develop analytical methodologies part of an innovative multidisciplinary team.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. As an Analytical Development Scientist at Cranleigh Scientific, you will design, plan, and develop analytical assays utilising a variety of different techniques and throughputs ensuring that deliverables are successfully met within timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop analytical methodologies that enable highly productive pharmaceutical bioprocesses and more cost-effective immunotherapeutics.
  • Execute analytical assays with a high level of skill and in a reliable and reproducible way.
  • Author SOPs, training documents, and COSHH forms as key deliverables.
  • Train team members to a high degree of competence to ensure data integrity.
  • Document research findings clearly in a lab book.

Requirements:

  • MSc/PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • MSc with 5+ years of industry experience or PhD with 2 years of industry experience.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing analytical methodologies, including HPLC/UPLC and LC-MS.
  • Experience in working with bioprocess relevant cell lines, such as CHO or HEK293.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation and high-throughput technologies applied to mammalian cell line generation.
  • Familiarity with large datasets, including transcriptomic and proteomic data.
