We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SENDCo to lead our school's Special Educational Needs Department. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for championing and managing all aspects of SEND, ensuring that our students receive the best possible support and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all areas of SEND across the school
  • Support the Headteacher in safeguarding responsibilities
  • Teach part-time, focusing on the Complex Needs Unit (0.4)
  • Develop and implement SEND policies and action plans
  • Oversee the quality of teaching and learning for SEND students
  • Line manage the Complex Needs Unit and SRP
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

About You:

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • NASENCO Qualification or willingness to complete within 2 years
  • Significant experience in SEND teaching and staff management
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
