Job Title: SENCo

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified SENCo to join our permanent staff list from January. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a significant impact on the lives of children with special educational needs within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy
  • Coordinate provision for children with special educational needs
  • Liaise with parents, teachers, and external agencies to support the needs of SEN pupils
  • Ensure the school's SEN register is up-to-date and that accurate records are maintained
  • Support and train staff in identifying and meeting the needs of SEN pupils
  • Ensure all statutory requirements are met in relation to SEN provision
  • Lead annual reviews and EHC plan processes
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision across the school
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) or willingness to complete within 3 years of appointment
  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring equal opportunities for all pupils
